Academic Institution Partners
DePaul University
Dr. Theresa Kepic Endowed Scholarship fund and Frank Naeymi-Rad Endowed Scholarship fund at DePaul University shall be used to provide recognition and financial assistance to students enrolled in the Health Informatics program in the College of Computing and Digital Media who are in good academic standing and have financial need.
Illinois Institute of Technology
The purpose of the Illinois Institute of Technology gift is to establish an endowed fund called Martha Evens Fund for Enhancing Computer Science in Healthcare (Informatics) Training. The income from this endowed fund will provide financial support to students pursuing a computer science degree with a focus on healthcare informatics, providing funds for these students to pursue research and co-curricular efforts that distinguish their educational experience.
Illinois State University
Dr. Frank Naeymi-Rad’s commitment of funds in February 2020 to the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs at Illinois State University is to be used by its newly open Multicultural Center. This includes additional technology within the space.
Northwestern University - Feinberg School of Medicine
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine gift is to support the Clinical Data Gymnasium project at the Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine. Use of the funds will be at the discretion of Dr. Abel N. Kho, Director of I.AIM. The purpose of the gift is to help develop the Clinical Data Gymnasium into a resource committed to training the next generation of leaders in informatics/data science/AI/ML, especially those from within our region, and those who are marginalized or overlooked.
University of Notre Dame
The “Barbara Rapchak and Frank Naeymi-Rad Fellowship” is awarded annually to a student seeking to enroll in the ESTEEM Graduate Program at the University of Notre Dame who intends to pursue a career in biomedical informatics or health care and has an undergraduate or graduate degree in the STEM disciplines.
OHSU School of Medicine, Department of Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology
Frank Naeymi-Rad, Ph.D., M.S., M.B.A., and Theresa Kepic, M.D., Student Scholarship Fund shall be used to provide financial assistance to students in the OHSU School of Medicine, Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology.
Rosalind Franklin University
Rosalind Franklin University honorary scholarship endowment is used to provide recognition and financial assistance to support the on-going needs of first-year, female students, who are enrolled at RFU and attending Chicago Medical School (CMS), reside in Lake County, IL, have financial need and come from a population that is underrepresented in medicine.
Washington University in St. Louis
The Theresa Kepic and Frank Naeymi-Rad Master’s Research Fellowships are awarded to students with research interests focused on women’s health research, practice and dissemination, and social determinants of health. Awards are presented to deserving applicants who are enrolled at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, with preference to students awarded in the Public Health program. As a condition of these fellowships, the students are required to obtain research positions with a Brown School faculty member or Brown School research center for the year.
